8 of my favorite Marvel post-credit scenes

Marvel Post-Credit Scenes

All Marvel post-credit scenes have a purpose. Either to be funny, or to provide a teaser for the next movie (or for a movie in the distant future), or to tie up any of the movie’s remaining loose ends. Here are some of my favorites.

Also, *SPOILERS.*

• The Avengers, Scene #2

I think the best thing about this scene is that the restaurant was still willing to serve food after aliens attacked New York and destroyed everything. Also, Thor needs to take smaller bites.

• Iron Man 3

After Iron Man defeats the bad guy and fixes all the problems at the end of the movie, you learn that the whole time he was recounting these events to Bruce Banner, therapist style. And that Bruce fell asleep at, like, the very beginning of the story.

My favorite part is 0:44 because of Tony Stark’s face.

• Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Scene #2

At this point, EVERYONE STARTED CRYING it’s hard to know how much Bucky remembers. But whether he remembers almost everything or almost nothing, it’s a sad scene.

On a lighter note, it looks like the museum wasn’t able to get Captain America’s suit back.

• Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Scene #1

Before I say anything else, I want to say that this movie was crazy with post-credit scenes. It had five. All of them either hilarious or providing extremely strong hints as to where future movies may be headed.

This scene in particular features Kraglin (aka Kirk from Gilmore Girls) (who’s also the GOTG’s director’s brother) messing with Yondu’s arrow thingy and failing quite terribly.

• Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Scene #4

Baby Groot was awesome in this movie, and Teenage Groot, who doesn’t clean his room and who talks back to Peter Quill, is even better. Judging by the stills from Avengers: Infinity War, Groot will still be in his adolescent years and he’ll be busy on his phone while Thanos is destroying everything. Teenagers.

• Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Scene #5

This is a continuation of Stan Lee’s cameo from the movie, but what I didn’t realize is that all of his scenes in GOTG Vol. 2 support the theory that he’s been playing the same character in every movie, acting as the Watchers’ Informant, and traversing space and time.

• Spider-Man: Homecoming, Scene #2

This is probably one of the best stunts Marvel has pulled, and I’m both annoyed and appreciative of it.

• Black Panther, Scene #2

(This scene isn’t available yet…So, in other words, GO SEE THE MOVIE)

Not only does this scene have Bucky, presumably with a Hydra-brain-washing-cleared mind, and Shuri, Black Panther’s awesome sister, it also has a hint of Bucky’s future in the MCU.

He’s referred to as White Wolf, who, in the comics, was an orphan adopted by King T’Chaka, raised to be a Wakandan warrior. While this obviously won’t be Bucky’s storyline, it will be interesting to see what comes of this and if Bucky will take this mantle, since the Winter Soldier was one he never chose to have.

As a person who nearly always posts, I think you should send Loki to annoy all the lurkers who read but don’t comment!

Also, Teen Groot is probably my favorite…must be the stage of life I’m in! They should have had Quill mention something about the SMELL! Teen boys and stinky feet funk? Whew!
