If you don’t think this quote is at least a little funny then you should probably stop reading now. This blog isn’t for you. But to everyone who is still reading, welcome to my new, first, and only blog, mes amis.

So… the dreaded introduction. Because most of you reading this already know all about me or don’t care (or both, maybe), I’ll keep this short and sweet. My name is Grace Batronis (Batronis—part Batman, part Patronus) and I’m old enough to use magic outside Hogwarts (i.e. seventeen.) My parents have homeschooled my brother and I since third grade and first grade, respectively. And now I’ve decided to start a blog.

Why? After about a month of working on it all day every day, it feels like I started it just to torture myself… but that’s not it. What I want so desperately to do is to create a community that revolves around stories. My goal is to introduce you to new stories that you’ll love, remind you of old ones you already adore, and give you an escape from reality—just as all great stories do.

I plan to write about other people’s stories (and when I say stories, I mean all forms: books, movies, TV shows…) and to write my own stories (here I mean short stories)(I will probably not randomly post a full-length screenplay), but it’s poor planning to expect that everything I’ll want to write will fit well in one of these two categories. That’s what the Hodgepodge section is for.

The last thing you need to know is how often I’ll be posting. I love schedules and I love consistency, so while I don’t really know how often I’ll post, I promise that I’ll find out as soon as possible. Until then, expect once to twice a week.
